Kentucky: Hot Brown
Sandwich served: February 17, 2012
I invited my friend and classmate, Courtney, over to be my official authenticity tester for the hot brown. Courtney’s whole family attended Western Kentucky University and while I’ve never been to Kentucky I think I found a good recipe.
This sandwich made for some seriously delicious comfort food. A creamy cheese sauce simmered for a while, then I baked the constructed sandwich, and topped it with bacon! [side note: I cooked the bacon in the oven for the first time and boy was it easy]
As true ladies who lunch, Colleen, Courtney, and I sat at the table and stuffed our faces. It was a nice end to a rather hectic week.
